Process/Chemical Engineer
Lusby, MD (onsite)
7+Month Contract
Responsibilities
Actively support LNG plant activities, new project development, and ongoing project technical assistance.
Participate in scouting and qualifying new technologies.
Conduct inter-branches studies and provide cryogenic process support.
Lead or validate process studies from prospects to FEED or EPC phases.
Provide technical feedback collection, formalization, and internal know-how development.
Requirements
Chemical engineering or petroleum engineering degree.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a process engineer in Engineering company and/or Oil & Gas Company, most of which on cryogenic units.
Mastering modeling tools such as PROII, Hysys, Unisim. Good knowledge of other specific modeling tools is a plus (e.g., HTRI, CFD tools).
Familiar with process design of equipment, including vessels, columns, heat exchangers, compressors, and pumps.
Conceptual understanding of chemical engineering principles of heat transfer, vapor-liquid equilibria, mass transfer, and thermodynamics, and their general application to process design.
Familiar with major regulations and industry codes and standards affecting standard design, quality, or processes.
Relevant experience of originating and checking the deliverables/tasks.
Excellent knowledge of technical theory, engineering principles, good engineering practices and how to apply them.
Ability to manage complex studies performed inhouse or by engineering contractors.
Fluent in English.
