We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our Catalyst team in Elyria, OH.

BASF’s Catalysts division is the global market leader in catalyst technologies. The division develops and produces mobile emissions catalysts as well as process catalysts and offers precious metals trading, recycling and related products and services.

As a process engineer, you will collaborate directly with groups such as production, maintenance, safety and environmental, research & development, and engineering to help improve productivity/efficiency/safety/long term stability of the plant.

As a Process Engineer, you create chemistry by...

• Supporting key initiatives such as product/technology transfers, new product introductions, process optimization, and OpEx process improvements in fulfilling the mission of the business and site
• Identifying and implementing plans to optimize processes, improve product quality, develop productivity improvements, eliminate waste and reduce operating costs.
• Following MOC process including scope, risk assessments, PSSR, training, action items, and closure.
• Providing Capital Project scopes, including designing and specifying equipment. Responsible for developing PFDs and PIDs, project start-up and testing plans, safety and environmental reviews, operating procedures, operating training and successful project completion.
• Promoting positive relationships with internal and external relations by working effectively with off-site BASF personnel (Product / Technology Managers, Supply Chain, R&D, etc.) and customers where applicable.
  
  

If you...

• Have a bachelors degree in engineering or related degree or equivalent blend of knowledge and experience
• Possess at least 2 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
