Key Responsibilities
Process Design and Development Develop and design manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
Process Optimization Continuously monitor and analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement. Implement changes to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
Equipment Specification and Selection Specify and select appropriate equipment for manufacturing processes. Ensure that all equipment meets the required specifications and operates within set parameters.
Process Documentation Create and maintain detailed documentation for all processes, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Troubleshooting Investigate and resolve process-related issues that arise during production. Collaborate with the production team to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Quality Assurance Work closely with the quality team to ensure that all processes comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Project Management Lead and manage process improvement projects from concept to implementation, ensuring that all project goals are met within the established timeline and budget.
Training and Support Provide training and support to production staff on new processes and equipment. Ensure that all personnel are properly trained in process-related SOPs.
Safety Ensure that all processes adhere to safety regulations and best practices. Conduct safety audits and risk assessments as needed.
Qualifications
Education Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a process engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills Strong knowledge of process design, optimization, and control techniques. Familiarity with CAD software, process simulation tools, and statistical analysis software.
Problem-Solving Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex process issues. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Project Management Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Attention to Detail Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct process deviations.
