Supervise a specific line and/or area within the leaf processing plant and all activities associated with its production and operation.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Supervise area to ensure product is properly handled according to customer specification.
Ensure product is in good condition when leaving the area.
Ensure all required sampling is prepared according to guidelines.
Comply with company’s safety and housekeeping procedures
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Ensure accurate reports and payroll information is completed timely manner.
Conduct training for all hourly team members.
Maintain close communications with other departments in the product flow.
Mechanical ability and equipment knowledge is a plus.
Work flexible schedules during peak season and processing.
Minimum Qualifications
2-3 years of experience in leaf processing industry.
2-3 years supervisory experience.
Overall knowledge of leaf processing operations.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational, planning and administrative skills.
Good computer skills.
Minimum High School diploma with some associates/college preferred.
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly standing and works near moving mechanical parts. The employee works in warehouse conditions and is frequently exposed to tobacco dust.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Personal Protective Equipment (hearing protection and safety glasses) and other PPE may be required for specific tasks.
