Location: Maryland, US

Package: $110,000 - $130,000 + 15% bonus + relocation support – office based 2 days per week

A rare opportunity has arisen for a procurement strategy, process and technology expert to join one of the largest FMCG businesses in the world. The mission is simple: to design global sourcing strategies and processes across either direct or indirect sourcing. In this global role you will work with global procurement and category management teams to drive procurement improvement, promote cross-functional delivery and create innovative solutions to exciting sourcing and sustainability challenges.

The role sits in a newly created Design & Transformation team that lies at the heart of strategic decision making across the organisation. The role of the Senior Manager will be to design, specify and drive the procurement functions capabilities to enable high performance across the entirety of procurement. Within a globally focused team, you will develop, agree and embed global consistent policies, processes and tools, lead strategic procurement focused programmes and identify and build the procurement function of the future – focusing on digital transformation.

The successful applicant will be comfortable engaging senior global stakeholders to identify gaps and provide solutions. You will also be delivering at pace, be a strong influencer and have an extensive background building sourcing capability across directs or indirect.

Procurement Senior Manager, Design & Transformation role profile:

• Governance, Process and Policies: work with a wide range of procurement team members – procurement leadership through to junior buyers – to develop and then execute new/improved policies and processes.
• Design the framework and tools to deliver complex procurement goals.
• Strategic Procurement Programs: In partnership with the procurement function, relentlessly drive procurement programs to meet enterprise needs e.g. supplier resiliency, SRM/SPM, cash release, digital transformation and enablement.
• Implement and champion innovative tools and analytics to support delivery of key procurement goals.
• Procurement Strategy and Transformation: execute agreed projects to progress the procurement function to the next phase of excellence.

Key skills & experience required:

• Strategic thinker with a proven track record in digital transformation within procurement.
• Strong experience in strategic sourcing and in creating/designing processes, procurement strategies and ideally technology deployment
• Exposure to key, global strategic projects
• Excellent communicator, ability to sell benefits of procurement transformation and engage with senior stakeholders globally.
• Strategic thinker with a proven track record in digital transformation within procurement.
