Procurement Specialist – Datacenter (Remote)

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist for a large, global B2B high-tech company. This role will be responsible for conducting supplier analyses, evaluating potential suppliers, supporting the overall supplier qualification process, developing and creating sourcing plans and category strategies, requests for proposals, and other sourcing documents, evaluates and recommending purchasing and sourcing decisions to management.

This is a 5-month contract (Extension possible). 40 hours per week Remote role.

This is a W2 employee of Stage 4 Solutions. Health benefits and 401K are offered.

Responsibilities

• Review spend analyses, assess and prioritize opportunities
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal results
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
• Perform cost and scenario analyses, and benchmarking
• Assess, manage and mitigate risks
• Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
• Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
• Actively seek out industry knowledge through research, trade shows, conferences and online training, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor
  
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience within the Colocation and Telecom markets landscape, preparing cost models, negotiating with suppliers, and presenting recommendations to stakeholders and Executive Leadership.
• Experience working with Partner with internal (commercial and technical) stakeholders on clarifying short and long-term colocation/telecommunication sourcing
• Knowledge of purchasing and supply chain processes, with analytical and results focused approach.
• Expert knowledge of office productivity, word-processing and various other computer-based or online website proposal software.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of RFP process and standard business practices and procedures.
• Both strategic and tactical sourcing experience

Compensation: $45/hr - $50/hr
