Job Description

The Global Strategic Sourcing Manager, Professional Services & Contingent Workforce, is pivotal in developing sourcing strategies for professional services. This role acts as a sourcing expert for the global professional services category, including contingent workforce, collaborating closely with legal and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals. The focus is on optimizing the acquisition, deployment, and management of temporary, contract, and freelance personnel across various functions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing:

Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies for professional services, including contingent workforce, temporary staff, outsourced contractors, freelancers, and consultants.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess workforce needs, skill requirements, and project timelines.

Establish relationships with preferred staffing agencies, service providers, and online platforms.

Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to secure favorable rates and terms with service providers.

Vendor Management

Monitor and evaluate performance of professional services suppliers, staffing agencies, and contingent workforce suppliers.

Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supplier performance and ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness.

Conduct regular vendor reviews to enhance service quality and resolve issues promptly.

Compliance And Risk Management

Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies related to contingent workforce management.

Mitigate risks associated with worker classification and legal/regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with legal and HR teams to maintain proper documentation and contracts for contingent workers.

Demand Forecasting And Planning

Partner with department managers and project leads to forecast short-term and long-term workforce needs.

Develop accurate demand forecasts for contingent labor aligned with business objectives.

Plan workforce strategies to support project timelines and operational requirements.

Cost Management

Analyze and manage costs associated with contingent workforce utilization.

Implement cost-saving initiatives through rate negotiations, volume discounts, and process efficiencies.

Monitor budget adherence and provide insights for cost optimization strategies.

Technology And Automation

Stay updated on technology trends and solutions in contingent workforce management.

Evaluate and implement technology platforms for sourcing, onboarding, time tracking, and payment processes.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience in indirect strategic sourcing, emphasizing procurement of temporary, contract, and freelance personnel.

Experience In Contract Negotiation, Vendor Management, And Influencing Skills.

Proficiency with sourcing and contracting ERP tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills.

Preferred

MBA or JD.

Knowledge of technology contracts, cost models, and legal/IP risks.

Excellent team facilitation and presentation skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
