The Role

We're seeking a talented Product Designer to join our team in Austin, TX. This role will focus on creating intuitive and engaging user experiences for our healthcare technology products, with a strong emphasis on user-centered design and innovation. The ideal candidate will drive the visual and interactive elements of our digital products, directly impacting our ability to serve patients and grow our business.

Reporting to the Director of Product, this position will work closely with cross-functional team members including product managers, engineers, marketing, and executives. You'll play a key role in translating complex healthcare processes into simple, accessible digital experiences that align with our overall business goals and drive innovation in our healthcare technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Our team would be counting on you to meet or exceed expectations with the following

responsibilities:

  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile applications in collaboration with the Lead Product Designer
  • Work closely with product managers to understand user needs and business requirements
  • Conduct and assist in user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of our design system to ensure consistency across all products
  • Work directly with software engineers to ensure high-quality implementation of designs
  • Rigorously test products and features to ensure high-quality user experiences and identify areas for improvement
  • Support the product strategy by providing design-focused insights and innovative ideas
  • Create and manage design documentation and specifications
  • Provide regular updates and insights to the Director of Product and other team leaders

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of product design experience, preferably in healthcare technology or related fields
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating UX/UI design skills for web and mobile applications
  • Excellence in design and prototyping tools, particularly Figma
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to articulate design decisions
  • Experience working in agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with user research methodologies and usability testing
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
  • Basic understanding of frontend development principles and limitations
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance requirements as they relate to user interface design is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
