Production Assistant

Job Description

Job Summary: As a production specialist, you will work under the direction of the plant manager, to assist in the completion of various repairs/projects. Your primary responsibilities will include performing physical tasks such as shoveling, lifting, carrying, and operating hand and power tools. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform physical labor tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Load and unload materials and equipment from trucks and other vehicles.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning up debris and waste.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or plant managers.
  
  

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in construction or a related field preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks in a variety of weather conditions.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  
  

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds or more).
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
