POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Associate supports the production team in the management of pre-
production and production stages of the product life from adoption to the delivery of
finished goods. Role includes providing analytical support to determine the root
cause of process issues as well as being proactive in resolving concerns/issues as
they arise throughout our Production Life Cycle. In addition, provide support for
operational and strategic initiatives as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Assist with overseeing all Time and Action calendars and Production
Status Reports (PSR) to ensure that cross-functional teams as well as
overseas partners are keeping to established milestones/deadlines in
Production Life Cycle.
● Coordinates production process with Design, Technical Design and
vendor partners effectively, to achieve a standard fashion product.
● Perform daily tracking of goods on order, in progress (Production Status
Reports), and in-transit to ensure timely delivery in accordance to
production calendar.
● Daily communication with overseas partners and customers regarding all
buys and associated deadlines.
● Comprehend customer QA ( Fit Sample )requirements and able to direct
cross-functional team as well as overseas partners to ensure customer
requirements are adhered.
● Create and manage shipping reports in collaboration with our logistic and
imports team.
● Alert senior management and business associates on high-risk areas
(QA, costing, product development, etc.), which may impact production.
● Assist in costing process to achieve IMU in accordance to business
financial objectives by providing support in the management of margin
reports, cost sheets, and required follow up to facilitate cost
negotiations.
● Work with cross functional teams, like Design, Technical, Sales teams.
● Perform additional duties and assignments as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
● Minimum of 3 years of related work experience in apparel production.
● Understanding of production life cycle ( from development to production)
● Knowledge of womenswear
● Detail oriented
● Highly motivated, self starter with excellent verbal and written
communication skills. High sense of accuracy.
● Strong interpersonal and project management skills.
● Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload for maximum efficiency, and
manage multiple deadlines.
● Excellent computer skills and must be proficient in MS Office and Google
Suite, emphasis on ability to create/manage reporting in Excel with
accuracy.
● Knowledge of Web PDM, Presto and PLM systems (Centric) is a plus.
Work Location and Schedule
This job will require that you work form our office in New York, NY, weekdays during
normal business hours.
