Job Summary

Join our vibrant media production team at The New Black as a meticulous and proactive Production Coordinator. You will play a pivotal role in supporting seamless production operations, ensuring everything runs like clockwork. We're seeking someone with a sharp eye for detail and a knack for multitasking, ready to collaborate closely with our tight-knit team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tasks across the production lifecycle, from pre-production through to post-production and wrap.
• Execute back-of-house support details including production logistics, crew management, and administrative tasks.
• Manage production schedules to ensure deadlines are consistently met.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to secure resources, equipment, and personnel.
• Oversee logistics including travel arrangements, location scouting, and permits.
• Support cost tracking and ensure adherence to production budgets.
• Maintain organized production documentation such as contracts, release forms, and call sheets.
• Coordinate casting and talent management, maintaining effective communication with talent representatives.
• Manage production assets including inventory, equipment rentals, and returns.
• Assist with on-set coordination, from prep and set-up to catering and crew management.
• Provide flexible administrative support, including scheduling meetings and managing correspondence.
• Adapt between hands-on involvement in smaller productions and coordinating logistics for larger-scale projects.
• Project manage both scrappier, smaller shoots and larger, more complex productions, ensuring seamless execution across all scales.
• Stay current with industry trends and technologies.
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Production Coordinator or similar role within commercial media production.
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace or similar tools and project management platforms.
• Familiarity with production processes, terminology, and industry standards.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and effectively manage relationships.
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to shifting priorities.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel as necessary.
• Positive demeanor with the ability to remain composed under pressure.
• Must reside in or be willing to work from San Diego/Carlsbad, CA, and possess a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
  
  

Compensation And Benefits

• This will be an exempt, salaried position.
• The range for this role is $66,000-$72,000, salary will be determined by an intentional review of applicable experience and overall fit.
• Health/vision insurance and PTO accrual eligible after 90-days.
