The Production Engineer supports production optimization efforts focused on maximizing asset value through integrated production surveillance, optimization, and well work support.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for working with the field, support, and development teams to optimize production of their assigned field areas.
Provide well surveillance and optimize artificial lift systems to maximize asset value:
Analysis of data to diagnose or predict potential production and artificial lift issues
Work closely with Operations personnel to implement any required changes in procedures
Support Operations Superintendent with diagnosis and forward plan during complex operations
Track well costs and analyze lease operating expenses
Prepare workover procedures and support the field team during day to day well work operations.
Potential tendering for services and equipment
Ensuring compliance with business controls
JOB REQUIREMENTS
BS Chemical Engineering
3 – 10 years’ experience (minimum 3 years’ experience in a related role)
Self-directed with the ability to recognize/pursue solutions required to solve problems
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Working knowledge of Production Engineering concepts and application
Experience with various types of artificial lift systems
Good computer skills
Strong analytical capability
Ability to adapt in a dynamic and exciting work environment
Demonstrates initiative
