Production Engineer

Soni's client is seeking a Broadcast Production Engineer who is passionate about broadcast engineering/IT and adaptable to evolving media technologies, such as Media over IP, Cloud Computing, and Radio Workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the smooth operation of on-air broadcast production systems.
• Manage studio operations, including video walls, video processing systems, and cameras.
• Supervise the functioning of live control room production systems and subsystems.
• Administer infrastructure systems such as routers, intercoms, monitoring equipment, KVM, audio suites, and live production-related gear.
• Provide maintenance and assistance for off-site remote locations, including prestigious venues like the White House and Capitol Hill.
• Address, communicate, and manage technical issues in a live 24/7 production environment.
• Conduct maintenance tasks for subsystems, including updates, modifications, and replacements of software and hardware as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field, or demonstrate equivalent experience.
• 5 years of hands-on experience in broadcast production and live television.
• Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of industry standards such as SMPTE for broadcast television and video environments. ST 2110 and IP based Video Routing.
• Showcase strong technical aptitude in troubleshooting and repairing broadcast equipment.
• Demonstrate proficiency in diagnosing issues in both traditional SDI and IP audio/video signal routing environments.
