Production Manager - Electronics Repair Service

Location: Orlando, FL

Salary: $90K - $100K

Job Description:

As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance of our Service Group, focusing on production, yield, quality, on-time delivery, and cost management. You will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement across our growing repair and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage financial performance within budgetary guidelines
• Monitor and improve repair quality across the Service Division
• Ensure customer satisfaction through quality repairs, on-time delivery, and professional technical assistance
• Establish and maintain quality objectives and controls
• Set goals and objectives for departmental employees
• Collaborate with Inventory Control to optimize managed inventory
• Oversee departmental staffing, recruiting, training, and discipline
• Lead initiatives related to component obsolescence, new product implementation, and yield/quality improvements
• Manage equipment maintenance and calibration
• Maintain a safe and healthy workplace in compliance with OSHA and DEP guidelines
• Develop new repair lines and establish repair pricing
• Ensure work instructions are current and maintained
• Implement corrective and preventative actions to improve customer satisfaction and quality
• Keep test, diagnostic, and repair equipment up-to-date
• Ensure technical staff training is current with evolving technology

Requirements:

• 2-4 year business degree or 5-7 years of management experience in a production or repair environment
• Strong customer focus and ability to balance customer needs with overall business objectives
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong technical skills, including electronics manufacturing/repair experience and knowledge of digital circuitry/electronics components/circuit theory
• Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills
• Solid understanding of production and finance in a repair service environment
• Ability to work collaboratively with peers and subordinates
• Strong emphasis on quality and attention to detail
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Proficient computer skills
• Willingness to travel occasionally for dealer/OEM meetings (infrequent)
