Production Supervisor

JOB PURPOSE:

About the Role: The Production Supervisor is responsible for motivating and directing employees to ensure compliance with production and quality goals, safety policies, and company rules. Additionally, the Production Supervisor will organize production schedules to ensure the maximum utilization of equipment and personnel. This role will require coordination of maintenance repair work and ensuring equipment is kept in proper working condition.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervises production personnel to produce manufactured products, organizes, and monitors workflow.
• Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; and initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
• Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
• Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs and evaluating new techniques.
• Maintains and promotes safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action.
• Supports tasking of production personnel by releasing work orders, issuing material and kits to work orders, and maintaining dynamic communication between Quality, Production, and Engineering departments to ensure continuous and efficient production workflow.
• Promotes an environment for continuous improvement, learning, and instilling a sense of pride in one's work.
• Works quickly to address or promote the closure of quality issues, nonconformances, or other areas of improvement.
  
  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in aerospace or automotive manufacturing.
• At least 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in manufacturing assembly environment.
• AS9100, ISO9001, NADCAP or equivalent experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations.
  
  

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Unassisted
• Experience with LEAN manufacturing, 6 sigma, kaizen, or other production improvement strategies.
• Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position.

COMPENSATION: $80,000-110,000 USD annually
