Job Description

Pride Now is urgently hiring for Production Workers for one of our clients in Baltimore, MD.

Job Type: Temp to hire

Pay range: $16-17/hr.

Shift: 1st, 8am to 4:30pm, M-F

About the work environment:

• Hot, repetitive, manual labor, not climate controlled.
• They need to have steel toe boots/safety shoes to start. They don't offer it at first, they want them to stay at least 30 days before they pay for their boots. They will provide the rest of the safety equipment.
• Candidates are trained in different parts of the plant.
• They offer retention bonuses: $750 after 90 days.
• Benefits offered: 401k after one year, life insurance, united health, visual and dental, reward programs, anniversaries.
• Profile of the person they're looking for: people who are not afraid of hard work, knows injection molding (preferred), safety minded, attendance is very important, they have to get to work on time. There's a bus, but not too close so they need to have reliable transportation. It's okay if they speak Spanish as long as they can communicate and read in English. They need to be able to get down and dirty.
  
  

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

• Operate all manufacturing equipment efficiently and safely
• Safely operate machine to properly produce product and follow proper procedures for packaging to external customers
• Remove or shift materials and/or finished products to facilitate proper flow
• Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time
• Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space
• Responsible for safety and quality throughout production
• Clean equipment and area before, during, and after shift
• Maintain clean work area through good housekeeping practices
• Follow proper sorting and restacking instruction given by quality department
• Assist in changeovers when called up by supervisor or front-end operators[LM1]
• Performs other duties as required by Supervisor or Manager
  
  

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions
• Basic Math skills
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to be on feet up to 8-12 hours per shift
• Use of hands and fingers to perform job function
• Ability to stoop, kneel, bend and climb
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Ability to lift up to 35lbs
