Professor of Dental Assisting

Job Responsibilities

• Teaching: Promotes learning in didactic and clinical settings; evaluates students' progress through appropriate assessments; teaches best practices in the field.
• Instructional Development: Designs and assesses courses and curriculum in collaboration with the Program Director; assists in the selection and development of course materials; keeps materials current in the field; participates in accreditation activities.
• Instructional Management: Manages classrooms, maintains adequate records in the LMS, submits required reports on time, maintains regular office hours, and adheres to the course schedule.
• Community Service: Makes regular visits to clinical sites to maintain positive relationships, encourages and models engagement in service projects within the field, and teaches the value of service beyond the classroom.
• Professional Development: Maintains professional licensure/certification in the field through regular CEUs, attendance at conferences, and involvement with professional organizations in the field.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university. DANB certified Dental Assistant with current CDA and CPR. At least 2 years of successful chairside experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree from a regionally accredited college/university. Five or more years of successful chairside experience.
