Major/Essential Functions
Manage all aspects of 5-10 customized, credit-bearing faculty-led study abroad programs. Advise faculty on the program proposal process, student recruitment and outreach, the application review process, on-site logistics, university policies, and emergency and financial management of programs. Negotiate with third parties to provide logistical support and assist with program budget development. Collaborate with faculty to prepare content for program webpages, oversee study abroad applications for all faculty-led study abroad programs. Review student applications. Assist with workshops and orientations for faculty leaders and students.
Organizes and executes annual events in support of the Assistant Director and Sevilla Center Administrator. Tasks may include scheduling, room reservations, advertising, preparing materials, and follow-up with respective target audience.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge on all study abroad programs. Advises students interested in or participating on faculty-led study abroad opportunities. Responsible for creation and dispersal of program-specific marketing materials to all relevant audiences including advertising through social media, print materials, and other advertising opportunities.
Represent the office and university at regional and national professional conferences. Keep abreast of best practices and trends in international education. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.
Required Qualifications
High school plus six years experience in related field. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
