Sr. Technical Recruiter at Synergis IT + Creative

Title: Program Management

Duration: 6 months (potential to extend)

We are a team that seeks to create economic opportunities across the U.S. by providing training and tools to help people grow their skills and careers. We surface our client’s best products, platforms, and programs in a focused effort under their umbrella to help people find new jobs and develop their skills.

One of our cornerstone programs is the IT Support Professional Certificate, which was developed by our client and is hosted on Coursera. Based on the successes of the IT Cert, we believe we can help people without college degrees build skills and find new, higher-paying jobs. We are developing additional certificates to help people find entry-level jobs in high-growth fields

This work is important now more than ever: As a result of the coronavirus crisis, millions of Americans have lost their jobs, and the economic divide is increasing. In addition, two-thirds of Americans will never get a four-year college degree, and they historically have had more limited career and financial opportunities. Our certificates will aim to help people without four-year degrees reskill and find jobs in high-paying, high-growth fields. We are aiming to launch these certs by EOY.

Roles and Responsibilities

Each of the certificates will have a cert-specific PgM that will take care of specific end-to-end workstreams in that specific certificate and that will report up to the overall x-certs program manager.

The cert-specific PgM’s job scope includes:

  • Lead weekly cert-specific meetings including weekly design sprints, maintain project plan up-to-date, and own cert-specific deliverables towards a timeline, including all deliverables across workstreams for a specific cert.
  • Lead cert-specific end-to-end workstreams, including: Cert-specific project management, Content Development (Assessments, External Agencies, Feedback Implementation), Tech and Infrastructure (staging and production in Coursera).
  • Lead content development workstream working closely with ID leads to ensure understanding and implementation of course production cycles, handovers to external stakeholders and sprint velocity for the cert team.
  • Funnel blockers, risks and other key elements for a timely launch, to cross-certs PgM for guidance and resolution.
  • Own the implementation of the metrics & evaluation strategy towards a specific cert, partnering closely with the product lead in dove-tailing that strategy with the GTM launch plan.
  • Surface broader topics to cross-certs overall program manager for consistency across other certificates.
  • Support cross-certs PgM with cert-specific information and updates on an ad-hoc or weekly basis.
  • Needs to be autonomous, a great leader, super organized, excellent communicator and ready to forge a new path in this fast moving field of AI
  • Major plus if they have experience managing technical teams/workflows, especially in the education space, and are interested in learning and growing very quickly
  • Impeccable attention to detail. Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Partnership management experience, including establishing and maintaining productive relationships with internal teams and external parties.
  • Experience effectively collaborating with a cross-functional team.
  • Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced environment and strict timelines.
  • Experience with data analysis and representation, comfortable with google spreadsheets, pivot tables and other more advanced data representation systems.
