The main function of a non-IT program manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research, and development, and financial systems. and program rollout. The purpose of this team is to drive security and compliance initiatives for Azure Edge and Platform Security and to work with engineering teams on data management, reporting, and privacy reviews.
Job Responsibilities
Coordinate projects, make detailed plans to accomplish goals, and direct the integration of technical activities
Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects
Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures
Work closely with program/process owners to identify change and drive the consensus necessary following the manageable change strategy
Identify gaps and scope optimizations for program efficiencies, develop a framework for emerging areas that align with current business processes
Manage multiple programs and projects involving multiple parties/organizations in parallel
Design solutions in collaboration with engineering teams to improve product quality and related processes
Lead engineering teams towards targeted and scheduled outcomes providing regular workstream status to communicate project objectives, strategy, tactics, and ongoing progress
Confer with management and partner teams to onboard new programs and procedures, including the development of reports to show status.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree or related industry experience
6-10 years of program management experience
Knowledge of software security and/or compliance regulations preferred
Proficiency in Azure DevOps (formerly Visual Studio) and Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams
Strong ability to work with data-related technologies such as Azure Data Explorer, SQL, Power BI, etc.
Knowledge of Source Control systems and usage patterns and Git
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time
