Our Home is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented controls and automation engineer to join our team. As a controls and automation engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems and automation solutions for our manufacturing processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and reliable control systems that optimize production and minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in controls and automation engineering, with expertise in PLC programming, HMI optimization, robotics, SCADA systems, and other relevant technologies. You should have a solid understanding of industrial control systems, process automation, and electrical systems. Additionally, you should be familiar with industry standards and regulations related to controls and automation and have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure. Experience in food manufacturing is definitely a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement control systems and automation solutions for manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify needs and requirements for control systems
  • Perform system integration and testing to ensure proper functionality and reliability
  • Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures for control systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues to minimize downtime
  • Optimize control systems for maximum efficiency and production output
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in controls and automation technology


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in controls and automation engineering in a manufacturing environment (Food Manufacturing a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting
  • Experience with MES and SCADA systems and industrial networks
  • AutoCAD experience a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for controls and automation
  • Ability to travel up to 75%
