In this job, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing financial data related to construction projects. This role involves overseeing project cost accounting, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the project management team with financial insights. Proficiency in Excel and a strong understanding of construction accounting principles are essential.

• Track and analyze project costs, including labor, materials, subcontractor expenses, and overheads.
• Maintain accurate records of project expenditures and reconcile with budgets.
• Prepare and review job cost reports, identifying variances and suggesting corrective actions.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills to create and manage financial models, budgets, and forecasts.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Work closely with project managers, estimators, and other stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy and project success.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on construction accounting preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Procore) is a plus.
