Project Accountant

Reports to: Director of Finance

Location: Jessup, Maryland, USA

Basic Purpose

Support the growth of Tate’s business by collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders to evaluate proposed business improvements, ensure a strong control environment, and interrogate all business assumptions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Rigorously evaluate all Capital Expenditure proposals to ensure best value for money for Tate.
  • Interrogate existing business processes and drive improvement.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure high performance standards are maintained.
  • Evaluate Tate’s Global Supply Chain for each of its hyperscale customers and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement a risk management framework for the Cloud business to ensure all contingency plans are in place and understood.
  • Provide Finance Business Partnering for all key stakeholders in the business.
  • Identify and execute cost-effective initiatives within the business to improve competitiveness.
  • Ensure bench marking is implemented across the global Tate business to ensure best in class standards are maintained.
  • Provide Weekly KPI reporting to the Cloud business across all regions on a weekly basis.

  • Maintains awareness of individual contribution to and impact of the quality, safety, environment, and product compliance policies and activities; reports all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the proper personnel.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant with two years post-qualification experience or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a similar role previously.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis.
  • Succinct communication skills that provide clear and unambiguous direction throughout the business.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive and logical mindset with an aptitude for problem solving.
  • Process driven mindset with a focus on controls and accountability.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering company.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders from a varied set of backgrounds.
