CornerStone Professional Placement has partnered with a well renown engineering firm seeking a Project Accounting Director for a new role in their growing organization. As the Project Accounting Director, you will be responsible for personnel leadership and strategic leadership over financial strategies to optimize project profitability, mitigate risks, enhance efficiencies, and serve as a consultative liaison to project managers and clients. Qualified candidates will have their degree in accounting, 10+ years of project accounting experience from the AEC industry, 4+ years of personnel leadership experience, and a proven success developing and implementing analytics and metrics to drive business growth, improve reporting processes and ensure compliance with PBC and FAR audits. Requirements for the Project Accounting Director:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA, CMA, or CIA is preferred
• 10+ years of Project Accounting experience, most of which needs to be from the Architectural Engineering Consulting (AEC) Industry
• 4+ years of team leadership experience leading teams of 20+ employees
• Proven experience implementing financial strategies to optimize project profitability, mitigate risks, enhance efficiencies, and serve as a consultative liaison to project managers and clients
• Experience designing dashboards and enhancing reporting processes
• Experience with Deltek software is preferred

Compensation for the Project Accounting Director:

• Direct hire
• Salary: $165-180K/year (+/- based on experience) + bonuses and other incentives
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, approximately 45-50 hours/week
• Locations: Hybrid in Richardson (TX), Houston (TX), Tampa (FL) - will consider relocation assistance or remote for the right candidate
