Role: Project Coordinator

Location: NYC, NY (Hybrid)

Are you a proactive individual with a knack for project coordination? We're looking for a Project Coordinator to join our team in the Information Technology Project Management Office (PMO) in New York City. In this role, you'll directly support the Project Manager and Directors, managing projects from start to finish, preparing reports and presentations, and ensuring adherence to project management standards.

Responsibilities

• Support departmental goals, initiatives, and strategies while fostering cooperation with other departments.
• Handle issues impacting project performance, control project scope, schedule, and budget, and proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Prepare reports, presentations, meeting minutes, and maintain project documentation.
• Undertake additional tasks as needed and represent the PMO in special assignments.
  
  

Qualifications

• Prior experience in project coordination required.
• Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, and estimating, ability to collaborate across functional areas, manage multiple deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to analyze data and make recommendations, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required (Black Belt preferred).
• Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint and Project, knowledge of public mass transit assets and operations, proficiency in creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and expertise in lean methods.
