Summary

The Project Coordinator is an integral part of providing smooth and effective service to clients. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage project timelines and budgets on complex engagements in collaboration with Marts&Lundy project teams and clients. In addition, given the high level of client and internal firm interaction, strong interpersonal skills are a must. This position will rely heavily on previous project management experience, organization, communication, good judgement, and proactive time management. The ability to exercise initiative, independent judgement, and accountability for various processes and projects is critical. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Consultant Operations.

Essential Functions

  • Manage day-to-day operations of multiple complex projects from start to finish including budgets, deliverables, milestones, scheduling client interviews and meetings, and other required activities
  • Communicating project status with consultants and clients on a regular basis
  • Utilize Firm resources for management of all client projects
  • Collaborate with consulting team members and clients to gather materials and data in support of client projects
  • Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards, and assessing risks
  • Monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3+ years proven project management experience and the ability to manage multiple components of complex projects
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills; initiative and follow-through; sound discretion and judgment
  • Ability to model positive professional behavior
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to exercise excellent judgement and decision-making skills
  • Well-developed organizational and prioritization skills; flexibility; attention to detail; and the ability to work both independently and with a team toward a common goal
  • Experience monitoring client project budgets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, project management tools, database applications, and Internet research tools
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Proficiency in time management and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • PMP or other project management certification a plus
  • Familiarity and experience in the nonprofit sector are preferred

Work Environment/Conditions

  • This position will be remote
  • Continuous use of a computer
  • Frequent communication with team and clients via Zoom and in person
  • This is an exempt position that requires at least 40 hours of work per week but due to the nature of this role, additional hours are required when deadlines need to be met
  • Overnight travel to client sites, conferences, or firm meetings is occasionally required

Compensation And Benefits

Annual base salary range of $55,000 to $65,000 based on qualifications and experience.

It is anticipated that this person will work out of their home with the necessary equipment and supplies to perform their duties provided by Marts&Lundy. This position typically will require project-based travel and may include overnight and air travel for several days during the week.
