We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated, results oriented, experienced Project Engineer (PE) to work on multiple clean hydrogen, ammonia and other hydrogen derivative projects. The PE would be a core part of the project team and will be responsible for reviewing and coordinating the engineering functions for multiple projects in development or in construction.


Working closely with responsible managers of engineering, project management, procurement, installation & commissioning teams, PE will co-ordinate timely delivery of engineering deliverables, clarifications etc. to various stakeholders. PE’s overall objective will be to maintain the project schedule and mitigate the technical risks involved in installation/commissioning by delivering clear and accurate documentation in a timely manner.


Additional responsibilities include project-specific solutions, working with vendors and managing procurement and logistics activities, organizing and participating in technical and progress review meetings, supporting management during FEED studies and EPC execution of various projects in the future.


Functional Responsibility:

  • Understanding of project requirement including processes, applications, and deliverables.
  • Specific attention to critical documentation such as PFD, P&ID, GA drawings, Equipment Lists, layout, 3D models, etc.
  • Lead the technology, OEM & product selection process by identifying the criteria for selecting appropriate technology to fulfil the project specific technical requirement.
  • Reviewing product documentation and applying product requirements to plant and utility design.
  • Coordinating and participating in the project meetings for progress review, design review and other risk assessments such as HAZOP, HAZID, etc.
  • Developing and evaluating Bills of Materials requirement for installation and ensure completeness of the same.
  • Preparing and/or assisting in the preparation of quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and explores cost saving measures through innovation in design, sourcing, and installation areas.
  • Managing outsourced engineering activities with proper monitoring and ensuring timeliness and correctness of the deliverables.
  • Leading a team for the proper execution of engineering related activities for various green hydrogen, green Ammonia, and other green hydrogen derivative projects.
  • Applying cost competitive execution techniques to develop the most cost-effective total project solution for execution of the discipline engineering work.
  • Providing inputs during all design phases including interpretation of standards.
  • Actively participate in key project meetings when required, including Kick Off Meeting (KOM), Customer Coordination Meetings, Pre-Inspection Meetings and Design Review Meetings.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Applicant must have bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical engineering of 4 years or equivalent course duration.
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of proposals, FEED and EPC experience in Chemicals or Oil and Gas sector.
  • Well versed with good engineering practices, international codes & standards, and statutory norms.
  • Work experience in project engineering for medium to large scale complex projects.
  • General understanding of work safety procedures and experience in risk evaluation.
  • General understanding of enterprise resource planning and document management systems
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, CAD, 3D software’s
  • Understanding of Engineering planning and control methods.
  • Experience in reputed EPC Companies preferred.
  • Experience in project execution of Hydrogen, Ammonia, Methanol projects preferred.
  • Professional registration and membership in technical society preferred.
