The Project Manager, Education manages the business to consumer (B2C) and business to business (B2B) project portfolios and maintaining the UMA Education Project Management Office (PMO) system. The Project Manager, Education plans, executes, and monitors individual projects to ensure project deliverables are kept on track and within budget and scope. The Project Manager, Education contributes to the establishment of a strong project management culture and best practices and may be directly responsible for multiple programs across portfolios.
The Project Manager, Education reports to the Manager, Education Project Management.UMA is a nonprofit healthcare educational institution with a national presence. Headquartered in Tampa, Florida and founded in 1994, UMA offers content-rich, interactive online programs as well as hands-on training at our Clearwater, Florida campus.
Anticipated starting salary of $65,000

Key Responsibilities
Functional
Work with stakeholders to define requirements and scope for product development projects
Maintain the UMA Education Project Management Office (PMO) system
Develop and maintain project plans
Accountable for key deliverables
Monitor track, and report project milestones, status, risks, etc.
Assist with resource planning and allocation
Negotiate and resolve conflicts and drive consensus among team(s) to accomplish project and business goals
Work to establish a strong project management culture across the organization
Support product innovation and prototyping for new product ideas
Assist UMA leaders with developing Project Charters, identifying new products, product enhancements, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned
Support Institutional Initiatives
Keep current on institutional goals, objectives, and progress
Engage in institutional sponsored activities and initiatives as appropriate
Lead with courage in support of change initiatives that impact organization
Manages and assists in coordinating efforts between departments within UMA
Compliance
Demonstrates knowledge of, and carefully follows all applicable federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the Department of Education, accrediting agencies, CIE, and internal UMA policies and procedures.
Effectively communicates compliance requirements to students and other staff as appropriate and quickly escalates any compliance concerns to the Compliance department.
Work Experience, Skills & Abilities
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
1 year of project manager experience managing Education projects
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to interface cross-functionally
Able to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English with strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to meticulously manage a high-volume of responsibility with professionalism and optimism
Program or portfolio management experience using tools like Daptiv, Easy Project, and Wrike
Ability to learn and implement new technologies and adapt processes for continual improvement
Advanced proficiencies in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Skype and Microsoft Teams
Able to support a diverse and inclusive work environment
Preferred Requirements
Master’s degree in Project Management or Business Administration
3-5 years of project manager experience managing Education projects
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Working Environment
Ability to work full-remote, on-site, or a hybrid attendance model
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
Physical Demands
Requires long periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer
