Responsible for meeting overall Maintenance Department Measurables and objectives and deliver profit expectations across all aspects of the job. To help the business grow through quality and robust sales. Prioritizing safety as a fundamental aspect of all tasks while ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet client expectations. This role will report to the Maintenance Department Leader in planning, leading, and directing day-to-day operations for Estimating and Project Management.

Responsibilities & Overall Duties

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales deals.
  • Perform project takeoffs with accurate labor, material, equipment, and sub costs.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • In this role, you will manage all aspects of assigned projects from beginning to closeout.
  • Create detailed and accurate estimates for labor and material costs in project planning.
  • Leverage online resources for accurate job duty estimations.
  • Actively track and follow-up on proposals.
  • Engage in business meetings and foster networking opportunities for business development.
  • Communicate with clients, team and field effectively to ensure all goals are clear and understood for proposals and work.
  • Create a detailed project plan that addresses objectives, scope, timelines, necessary resources and ensure your team follows this to a successful project completion.
  • Oversee and maintain the project budget, with a keen focus on achieving budgeted goals.
  • Regularly conduct progress meetings, provide status updates, and make any necessary adjustments to ensure commitments are met.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it aligns with the project scope, promptly addressing any deficiencies.
  • Create a comprehensive final job assessment that facilitates adjustments for future process improvements.
  • Ability to identify, adapt, and resolve complex issues.
  • Uphold high ethical standards and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Exhibit effective listening & communication skill.
  • Actively seek feedback and receive it in a non-defensive manner.

Core Skills/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated sales experience including business development and account management.
  • Computer software proficiency, ProEst, Adobe, MS Office Suite & Quickbid.
  • Exceptional communication skills.

  • Commercial Paint Coatings experience preferred.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Prior construction experience within a commercial or residential paint environment.
  • Accurate tracking of bids and proposals for consistent follow-up.
  • Effective monitoring of projects to ensure budgets are achieved and expectations met.
  • Effective communication to office and field team.
