Summary:


This position is primarily responsible for providing psychiatric care to patients with mental health and substance use disorders in an outpatient, intensive outpatient, and residential mental health setting. Other responsibilities may include assisting with administrative duties and program development. Clinical duties include meeting directly with patients to determine their clinical needs, crisis management, and treatment within the scope of the nurse practitioner. Administrative duties include but are not limited to coordination of care with other treatment providers, attendance of staff meetings, treatment planning, and completion of appropriate documentation of psychiatry sessions. This position reports directly to the Medical Director.


This is a full-time exempt position that is not eligible for overtime. In addition, your compensation package includes the following (these details are for information purposes and are subject to any policy or plan changes) options:


● Salary offer: 165k -220k reviewed at 90 days

● Aetna benefits: Health plan, Dental, Vision

● Caseload max: 190 Clients

● Evaluations/Follow Ups per day max: 22

● Weekly max: 85

● Policy Sick Time:

Accrual Method 1 hour earned per 30 hours worked

Accrual Waiting Period 30 days from date of hire

Usage Waiting Period 30 days

Max Balance 96 hours

Max Hours Accrued Per Year

48 hours Paid Out on Termination

● Policy Paid Time Off:

Accrual Method 1 hour earned per 20 hours worked

Accrual Waiting Period 30 days from date of hire

Max Balance 104 hours

Max Hours Accrued Per Year 104 hours

Remaining time off balance for this policy is paid out upon employee termination


This position is contingent upon the following:


● Passing a drug test.

● Satisfactory reference checks

● Execution of an employment, noncompete, and confidentiality agreement.


Once the above contingencies are successfully completed, employment will also be contingent upon receipt of results of a satisfactory physical examination designed solely to determine your physical ability to perform the duties of the position being offered to you.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Report regularly to the Medical Director, Nursing Staff, and Attending Physician

● Compose patient notes using the company’s electronic medical record system

● Conduct psychiatric assessment

● Prescribe medication, Medication evaluation, treatment and follow-up

● Perform crisis intervention and suicide prevention

● Create an individualized plan of care for each client

● Provide psychiatric services to patients at MindHealthMD

● Attend and participate in staff meetings as necessary

● Maintain a high level of discretion and protect operations by keeping confidential information secure

● Perform psychiatric assessments, including interviewing patients to obtain complete medical histories as well as ordering, interpreting and evaluating diagnostic tests and examinations

● Establishing and documenting treatment plans and prognosis, maintaining records of each case that are detailed and complete for any psychiatrist/physician reviewing to evaluate the effectiveness of the plan

● Following standardized protocol in initiating drug therapy, taking responsibility for appropriate dosage, indications, contraindications and side effects

● Working as part of an interdisciplinary team

● Create a climate of patient-centered care to include confidentiality, privacy, comfort, emotional support, mutual trust and respect

● Applying ethically sound solutions to complex issues related to mentally ill clients

● Working effectively in a changing and stressful environment, and making adjustments as necessary

● Participate in additional projects or tasks as assigned by the Clinical Director or Medical Director


REQUIREMENTS:

● You must be duly licensed to practice your healthcare profession in the State of California

● You must not currently be on probation or suspension for any reason.

● You must be in good standing with the governing administrative body of the State of California having jurisdiction over the professional license issued to you
