Purchasing - Electrical

Our client, a well-established electrical service provider, is seeking a skilled Electrical Purchasing Agent to support their procurement operations. The company is known for delivering high-quality electrical solutions and is looking for someone who can contribute to their continued growth and success. The Electrical Purchasing Agent will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing electrical materials, equipment, and services needed for the company’s projects. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of the electrical industry and the ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers to secure the best deals for the company.

salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

• Sourcing: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for electrical materials and equipment, ensuring they meet the company’s quality and cost requirements.
• Purchasing: Process purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials needed for ongoing projects.
• Vendor Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to optimize procurement costs.
• Inventory Management: Collaborate with the warehouse and project teams to monitor inventory levels and ensure materials are available when needed.
• Cost Control: Track and manage purchasing costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings without sacrificing quality or reliability.
• Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  
  

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, specifically within the electrical services or construction industry.
• Familiarity with electrical materials, equipment, and suppliers.
• Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
