About The Job
We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our Information Systems team to build out and own the QA framework for our Internal Enterprise platforms. The role will be responsible for implementing QA best practices across our internal systems including Salesforce, ServiceNow and multiple smaller environments. The QA engineer is responsible for the creation of tests to identify issues with software before the product/enhancement release. Duties include identifying and analyzing any bugs and errors found during the test phase and documenting them for review after. Other tasks include developing and running new tests, reporting on the results and collaborating with software developers to fix programing issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and testing.
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases based on functional requirements.
Analyze bugs and errors found during tests.
Document results of tests for the software development team.
Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers and other key stakeholders.
Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements.
Accountable to ensure the assigned areas are being released with excellence (High quality).
Responsible for development of new tooling and infrastructure in collaboration with other quality department team members.
Regularly leads discussions on test generation, test enhancements and process improvements.
Analyzes engineering metrics and makes suggestions to improve KPIs.
QUALITIES OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
Formal Education and Certification
Education (Minimum Needed): Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, accounting, finance, or related discipline. Education requirements may be satisfied with commensurate experience.
Knowledge And Experience
Minimum 5+ years of experience system support and design.
Strong project management, organizational and mentoring skills.
Strong commercial acumen and customer service focus with ability to understand how the business operates and the upstream and downstream activities that impact the business.
Experience with Salesforce, ServiceNow, UKG, Intacct, and Jira preferred.
Experience working in SCRUM and SDLC.
Knowledge of test automation tools.
