Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to oversee and manage the quality assurance processes within our food manufacturing facility in Fort Worth, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety, regulatory compliance, and quality management systems, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Management System (QMS): Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with all relevant food safety and quality regulations, including FDA, USDA, and HACCP requirements.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the facility is in full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to food safety and quality, including managing third-party audits and certifications.
• Quality Control: Oversee daily quality control processes, including inspection, testing, and monitoring of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet company and regulatory standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives in the quality department by analyzing data, identifying trends, and implementing corrective actions to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes.
• Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and train the QA team to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively. Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement across the organization.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of quality activities, including non-conformances, corrective actions, and audit findings. Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.
• Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards for raw materials. Conduct supplier audits and manage supplier quality issues as they arise.
• Customer Satisfaction: Address customer complaints and quality issues promptly, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Safety and Sanitation: Ensure that all QA processes and procedures align with company safety and sanitation policies, contributing to a safe working environment.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., HACCP, SQF, ISO 22000) is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quality assurance within the food manufacturing industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP principles, GMP, and quality management systems. Familiarity with FDA, USDA, and other relevant regulatory agencies.
• Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
• Certifications: HACCP, SQF, ISO 22000, or other relevant food safety certifications are highly desirable.
• Attributes: Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
