Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Position Title: QA Automation Engineer

Location: Reston, VA

They are currently building out their Quality Assurance team and looking for Quality Assurance talent to bring in automation to their dev environment.

Required Skills/Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
2. Experience with quality assurance across the full life cycle of software development - requirements, design, development, test, and delivery.
3. Strong experience with test and quality automation and high and low levels, using tools such as NUnit, SonarQube, Selenium, Ranorex, SQL, and/or MS Visual Studio Team Services.
4. Mentor other members of the Functional Test Team.
5. Train other members of the Quality Assurance Team on how to create test cases and use cases
6. Assist in defining the testing strategy and testing scope for each release.
7. Take ownership of the test plans and tasks’ creation and management for the Functional Test Team in TFS.
8. Contribute to, review, and provide feedback on requirements/user stories, design documents, end-user and administrator documents, and other artifacts.

Desired Skills/Experience:

1. Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, MS Team Foundation Services/Visual Studio Team Services, REDMINE, and/or Rational Team Concert.
2. Experience with programming/script development, especially JavaScript.
3. Experience with QA work in commercial cloud architectures (Azure, Amazon AWS).
4. Certifications in QA areas are desired.
