Job Overview: Our client company is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to establish and lead the QA process. The ideal candidate will have experience in QA and be willing to be hands-on in the role. The candidate will work closely with the development team and support team to improve the quality of the product and customer satisfaction. The QA Lead will implement best practices and establish processes as the first QA hire for our client. This is a high impact role for a company making a meaningful contribution to the safety of essential infrastructure. Our client’s successful product now incorporates computer vision and AI.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and lead the QA process
Validate and document bugs reported by the support team
Run manual regression and smoke tests on the application
Work with the development team to improve the quality of the product
Manage and document the testing infrastructure
Potentially manage a small team of testers
Requirements:
Experience in QA
Hands-on and willing to jump in and regression test before releases
Documentation focused
Experience with JIRA and test management tools
Exposure to databases
Familiarity with Windows and web browsers
Good communication skills
Ability to manage their own time well
Nice to Have:
Experience with automation platforms such as Selenium or Playwright
Exposure to C# and ASP
SQL
AWS environment
Experience managing offshore contractors
Interest in AI / Computer Vision
Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 (negotiable based on experience) + Medical benefits + 401k
