Job Title: Manufacturing and Quality Engineer

Job Summary

The Manufacturing and Quality Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality production. This role involves developing and implementing process improvements, maintaining strict quality control measures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance production efficiency and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain efficient manufacturing processes that align with production goals.
  • Conduct time and motion studies to analyze production workflows and identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
  • Propose and implement solutions to streamline operations, reduce production costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure new products are designed for manufacturability, considering cost, quality, and time-to-market.
  • Establish and maintain rigorous quality control procedures to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement inspection criteria and procedures for incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes to identify and address quality issues proactively.
  • Investigate root causes of quality issues, develop corrective and preventive actions, and implement these solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure all manufacturing processes and quality control measures comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of manufacturing processes, quality control procedures, and improvement activities.
  • Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support to auditors.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure continuous compliance and competitive advantage.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of [3-6] years of experience in a manufacturing or quality assurance role, with a proven track record of process improvement and quality management.

Note

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control methodologies, and continuous improvement techniques (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, SPC), with the ability to interpret and leverage data to drive improvements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a methodical approach to identifying and addressing issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organization.
  • Experience with ISO standards and regulatory compliance, with a preference for candidates with specific industry certifications.
  • Certification in quality management (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt) is highly desirable and will be considered a strong asset.
