TextNow is looking for Intermediate Quality Engineers to work with our cross-functional development teams to achieve a high level of quality in everything we release.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify bugs and ensure they are thoroughly documented
  • Help triage and prioritize bugs and assign them to the appropriate team
  • Work with product managers to refine requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Perform exploratory testing of new features as they are being developed
  • Publish test results that give clear insights into any issues that need to be addressed
  • Create test plans for new or existing features that leverage manual and automated tests
  • Create and maintain manual regression tests
  • Create and maintain automated system and/or integration tests
  • Contribute to automated testing frameworks
  • Establish strong testing practices within your dev team

Who You Are

  • Mobile (iOS/Android) software tester with 3+ years in a Quality Assurance / Engineering role, as well as hands on experience in test planning, test case management, exploratory testing, and automated testing. with some background in modern coding languages
  • Give a Damn advocates for quality throughout the development process
  • Act Like an Owner Takes action and ownership of all testing efforts in your development team
  • Customer Obsessed in reporting issues and advocating for a better user experience. Occasionally causing healthy friction to improve outcomes.
  • Accept the Challenge who independently drives projects to completion
  • Do Right by Our People in developing test plans and getting buy-in from stakeholders
