Quality Engineer
Essential Job Functions:
Update/maintain the Control Plan for the assigned workflows.
Primary contact source with customer/supplier representatives, maintain positive communication and relationship, support and attend meetings, reviews and audits.
Ensures that the quality system is maintained in accordance with the Client iOS standards.
Facilitate problem solving teams and respond to customer discrepancy notices.
Verify corrective actions and prepare problem solving customer correspondence related to quality concerns or issues.
Participate in internal and external quality audits, and report to management on quality issues, trends and losses.
Establish process controls, assist in training of new projects and buy-off on new/modified equipment and processes.
Additional Responsibilities:
Participate in workgroups (e.g., FMEA, PSMC, etc.).
Support the risk and failure analysis (PFMEA) reviews
Performs root cause analysis of technical quality problems, with support of a cross functional team.
Support quality/dimensional control systems (i.e., X&R charts, gage studies, Six Sigma, dimensional capability studies).
Strong working knowledge of APQP tools (e.g., Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, MSA, SPC, etc.).
Qualifications:
1 -3 Years of Experience working in the field of Quality, Engineering CI or similar (recent college graduate is considered acceptable).
Minimum 1 Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
Possesses strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a team environment, establishing partnerships both internally and externally.
Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Possess knowledge on the fundamentals of PPAP and APQP processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working directly with customers and suppliers, particularly automotive related is highly desirable.
Understanding of the Quality function such as customer service, metrology, and quality analysis techniques (i.e., Design of experiments, Red X, PPAP, Control Plan, etc.).
Education:
Bachelor's Level Degree Area of Study: Quality, Industrial of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience in Quality or Engineering related function.
Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.
