This position reports to

Continuous Improvement Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the deployment of the continuous improvement strategy at a global organizational level, including promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Each day, you will mentor and coach teams globally to achieve operational excellence. You will also showcase your expertise by leading projects to improve and sustain business performance.

The work model for the role is: remote

This role is contributing to the Electrification Installation Products division in {insert region}. Main stakeholders are transportation and trade within ABB.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Escalating to relevant stakeholders, as necessary, to remove roadblocks that prevent the successful implementation and adoption of continuous improvement initiatives at the global level and helping facilitate cases of conflicting priorities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Facilitating significant improvements with respect to safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and/or cost targets, meeting customer and stakeholder commitments in collaboration with the global leadership.
  • Promoting awareness and commitment regarding continuous improvement at the management level across the organization.
  • Providing training support by developing and maintaining training modules and toolkits aligned with business needs in collaboration with management and Continuous Improvement teams at the global level.
  • 25% Travel

Qualifications For The Role

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business administration or related field; MBA for relevant master’s degree, Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is highly preferred
  • 10+ years of experience with Transportation and Trade, with demonstrated competency in Lean and Six Sigma/Quality Science role
  • Strong track record of integrating sound business acumen with implementation of change management experience, demonstrating a customer-centric and flexible problem solving approach
  • Previous leadership experience in leading and influencing virtual teams
  • Licensed Customs Broker highly preferred

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $111,300 and $206,700 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
