Who We Are Looking For

The Nike Asia Pacific & Latin America (APLA) Real Estate Operations Manager will develop the real estate strategy to connect and serve Nike consumers in 10 countries across the world. With an innovative and strategic approach, the person in this position will be instrumental in developing and implementing the real estate plan for the Nike Direct Stores portfolio. The role will centrally lead the real estate investment and lease action process for all five territories in APLA (Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia & India, Pacific, Central & South America, and Mexico).

We need this position to be based at our exceptionally beautiful campus in Beaverton, Oregon! We are offering relocation assistance, as appropriate.

What You Will Work On

In this role, you will provide strategic real estate portfolio leadership, marketplace insight, and lease terms discussions to deliver accretive investments, divestitures and lease savings to optimize the Nike Direct Stores business. You will lead the territory and geo (APLA) strategic fleet reviews, real estate committee (REC) and monthly post-investment reviews - inclusive of the coordination, preparation, review and presentation of recommendations or results. This individual will also handle the lease administration of the portfolio with critical data tracking, lease audits, and documentation management. Additionally, you will also provide real estate market insights and financial model support for pivotal initiatives relating to market rent/sales trends, retail co-tenancy dynamics, consumer insights and competitive intelligence.

Other duties include:

  • Build standards for and influence the work-stream processes between lease acquisition, finance, lease administration, legal and store construction
  • Be a chief agent for change, connecting across the organization to drive opportunities through the real estate process, anticipating and solving hurdles along the way
  • Develop impactful presentations to communicate real estate strategic plans and visions across the Territory, Geography and Global teams in the organization

Who You Will Work With

Teams you will collaborate with include the Nike Direct Stores Team, the Real Estate Team, Legal, Finance, Controlling, Business Strategy, Construction, and Planning teams.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree required in the relevant or a related field, or any acceptable combination of education, experience, and training; post-graduate degree preferred
  • At least 5 years of working experience, including experience in retail real estate, finance, portfolio management, business planning, and/or business development/consulting
  • Enterprise Leadership: experience working for a Fortune 500 / multinational consumer products company, or navigating a highly matrixed organization
  • Strategic Approach: proven track record in the use of strategic tools and frameworks to analyze multi-faceted challenges, develop clear recommendations and present findings
  • Quantitative Background: proven track record in the synthesis of data and analysis research related to consumers, industries, and competitors
  • Problem-solver: ability to break down and be creative to navigate through a successful solution
  • Relationship-focused: experience building relationships and interacting with all levels of leadership with external and internal partners
  • Project Leadership: ability to effectively scope and implement projects and to lead cross-functional teams
  • Cultural Intelligence: proven success working across different global customs and belief systems, adapting global business strategies, building cultural awareness in others and engaging cultural humility
  • Communication: proven track record for crafting and articulating compelling presentations with engaging storytelling for communicating strategies and recommendations
  • High level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • A passion for Nike - our product, our brand and our mission - and more generally for sports and fashion
  • Must be fluent in English - proficiency in Spanish. Korean, and/or Japanese is helpful, but not required
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, on occasion (estimated 5% of the time)
