Job Description

Position Summary:

The Recruiter will be responsible for recruiting candidates for Tommy Nobis Center (TNC). This position will develop, manage, and maintain a pipeline of candidates for all of TNCs roles. The Recruiter will promote TNCs comprehensive employment and people and culture services as well as enforcing company policies and practices.

Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities

  • Responsible for talent acquisition and recruitment processes by collaborating with the People and Culture team to develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Keeps up to date with the latest employment legislation and regulations as well as Recruiting/P&C trends and best practices. Makes recommendations for improvements.
  • Prepares and posts job openings, composes and places ads with WebATS, DOL, website and other agencies as required by the Affirmative Action Plan for all Tommy Nobis Center and Nobis Enterprise positions.
  • Attracts suitable candidates through databases, online employment forums, job fairs, social media, etc.
  • Schedules interviews, prepares interview information and any prescreening materials utilized for all staff openings. Coordinates with People & Culture team and other applicable interviewers.
  • Assesses applicants' knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.
  • Responds to People & Culture-related inquiries as needed.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in human resources, rehabilitation, business administration, or a related field preferred
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook)

Experience

  • 3-5 years recruiting/human resources experience, with experience with HRMS/HRIS systems

  • Understanding of state and federal employment regulations
  • Understanding of personnel and compliance records management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Able to converse and build business relationships.
  • Must pass drug screen and background check.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.

Ability to relate to a variety of participants, families, professionals, employees and board members.

Written Communications

Strong written skills required to create and prepare professional quality documentation and to effectively communicate with a broad range of individuals.

Analytical

Strong ability to review statistical information in order to create reports, show changes, validate any deficiencies, and to establish improvement goals.

Oral Communications

Ability to communicate and present information informally and formally to candidates for employment, new hires, program participants, employees and other professional groups.

Leadership

Ability to lead/coach co-employees in following the policies & guidelines set forth by the Tommy Nobis Center and other governmental agencies.

Organizational

Ability to organize data, as well as workloads and work schedules. Good attendance is expected; occasional overtime may be needed.

Problem-Solving

Multi-task oriented with ability to make decisions based on employees level of responsibility and to provide common sense solutions.

Equipment

Knowledge of computers, copy machines, fax machines

Mental Effort

Other Qualifications or Requirements:

Ability to prepare and comprehend statistical data and ability to perform the day-to-day tasks required to maintain operations in the P&C Department.

Physical Requirements

Office environment not requiring strenuous physical qualifications.

Working Conditions

Office environment maintaining adequate working conditions.

Visual Effort

Well-lighted environment requiring average amount of visual effort.
