Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist

The Recruiter plays a crucial role in the growth of the organization by partnering with supervisors to identify and hire top talent. Responsible for guiding the recruitment process, implementing best practices and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new hires. Collaborates with the temporary staffing partner, ensuring staffing needs are met.

  • Collaborate with supervisors to determine hiring needs and prioritize job openings.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including background checks, reference checks, and pre-employment screenings.
  • Coach supervisors on effective recruiting strategies, including resume screening, interviewing techniques, and candidate evaluation.
  • Recruit for immediate needs and proactively build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for critical roles, leveraging networking, industry events, and targeted outreach.
  • Regularly assess and refine recruitment processes to streamline efficiency and enhance candidate experience, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform recruitment strategies and maintain a competitive edge in talent acquisition.
  • Build strong relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing timely feedback and maintaining communication to enhance candidate experience and employer brand perception.
  • Optimize screening tools to enhance quality-hire efforts.
  • Maintain and serve as subject matter expert for the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), providing training and support to supervisors.
  • Generate and analyze recruitment metrics reports to drive continuous improvement.
  • Participate in building a positive employment brand through school and university relations, community events, and other partnerships.
  • Collaborate with our temporary staffing partner to ensure staffing needs are met.
  • Gather feedback and review performance metrics to increase quality placements and conversions.
  • Work with HR Leadership to develop recruitment plans that enhance retention and promote talent development.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives through strategic hiring practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, preferred or equivalent combination.
  • 3 years of recruiting experience required.
  • Proven experience as a recruiter in a manufacturing or industrial setting required.
  • HR certification preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Experience working with employees with different educational backgrounds, work style habits, and employment histories.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office programs Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS or ADP related software preferred.
  • Ability to present training topics to small or medium-sized groups.
  • Ability to speak, read and write English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, employees, and customers.
