Recruiting Coordinator (100% Remote - In Portland, Oregon!!)

Scion Staffing is seeking a Recruiting Coordinator to add to our award-winning and growing remote Oregon team! This role will create impact for the firm by directly supporting one of our Recruiting Directors here in Oregon to free them up to do what they do best: engage with clients and candidates! This support looks like anything from calendaring and scheduling, interview coordination, taking notes during interviews, drafting written candidate presentations or job postings, handling candidate electronic communications and more! This role requires a self-starter who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to achieve success and is passionate about exceeding metrics and goals.

During the first full year in this role, you will learn Scions recruiting processes including sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates, how to present candidates to our clients, and in particular how to engage with our amazing clients to provide them the services and support they have grown to appreciate and rely on from our firm.

This role is 100% remote working from a home office in the greater Portland, OR area (out of state residents may not be considered).

What You Bring:

  • 2+ year(s) of people-facing administrative, human resources, recruiting, customer service (i.e. retail or restaurant) or sales experience.
  • We need someone who is fast-paced and works with urgency.
  • Passion for making impact by providing administrative and recruiting support to one of our top, amazing Recruiting Directors.
  • A desire to develop a career in the staffing and recruiting industry.
  • Administrative Skills: Experience with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and maintaining filing systems.
  • Proofreading and Editing Skills: A keen eye for detail ensuring all written communication is free of errors.
  • Excellent Communication: This includes active listening, clear and concise written and verbal communication, and strong attention to detail in all correspondence.
  • Organization and Time Management: The ability to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines is crucial.
  • Initiative and Follow-Through: You can independently take direction, follow instructions, and see projects through to completion.
  • Meeting and Note-Taking: Proficient in taking clear and comprehensive notes during meetings, calls, and interviews.
  • Upselling and Customer Service: Experience exceeding customer expectations and identifying opportunities to provide additional value.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the big picture while remaining focused on the details to achieve long-term goals.
  • High level of motivation and self-drive paired with a desire to learn, including an openness to receive feedback and make changes.
  • A desire to work with people day in and day out; we work in professional matchmaking between our candidates and clients. Our work requires us to pick up the phone and connect with other humans regularly!
  • Experience with MS Word and ability to work with Office 365.
  • Strong with business technology and learning online tools.
  • Must be self-disciplined and know how to navigate work in a fully remote environment.

The Day to Day:

The primary focus of this role is to provide fantastic administrative support to one of our best Recruiting Directors to free up their time to do what they do best!

  • Learn the Scion search and recruiting life-cycle.
  • Draft position announcements and create job postings.
  • Schedule and support candidates throughout the interview process.
  • Write and create impactful candidate profiles for presentation to clients.
  • Conduct candidate reference checks and handle candidate onboarding.
  • Update relevant candidate information in our Applicant Tracking System (Bullhorn).
  • Learn recruiting best practices and the Scion Way!
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our candidates, clients and internal team.

This role offers a starting base salary of $45,000 to $52,000, depending on experience, plus a very strong benefits package!
