The General Manager position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all Recycled Concrete Operations including the following, but not limited to: communication with production managers, handling all aspects related to plant equipment, site personnel, and customers; scheduling and necessary maintenance.
Recycle Operations consist of 4 fixed plants and 1 train terminal that produce 1.5M tons annually
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties And Functions)
The selected candidate will be required to work in a team environment with other co-workers and managers
Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in all aspects of Recycled Concrete Operations
Supervise and coordinate crew activities, studying production schedules, and estimating work requirements for completion of job assignments with or beating the job estimate
Schedule the mobilization of needed equipment
Supervise, coordinate, train, and coach assigned personnel in the completion of jobs and daily work duties
Responsible for ensuring that managers supervise equipment operators and laborers to ensure that work is being done according to the field layout and the plans
Ensure that employees operate and maintain equipment properly to meet production goals
Notify the shop of equipment mechanical issues
Lead crews in our safety culture and help ensure a safe working environment
Maintain time and material records necessary for completing daily job costing
Perform other duties as assigned
Education/Experience
College Degree in a complementary program or relevant Quarry industry experience.
Previous management experience is required
12 plus years of Quarry or Plant experience required
Leadership training a plus
Valid state driver’s license
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
Strong written and oral communication skills
Developed analytical and problem-solving abilities
Substantial interpersonal skills
Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision
Priority emphasis and strong time management skills
Travel may be required
Basic computer and mobile device skills
