BASF’s Coatings division is a global expert in the development, production and marketing of innovative and sustainable automotive OEM and refinish coatings, decorative paints as well as applied surface treatments for metal, plastic and glass substrates in a wide range of industries. This portfolio is supplemented by "Beyond Paint Solutions", which enable new applications with innovative surfaces.
BASF Automotive Refinish Coatings Solutions offers high-quality refinish paint brands and paint-related products to body shops from around the world. Our solutions are approved by the world’s leading automotive manufacturers for the repair of their vehicles. We provide collision centers with a vast array of solutions that help drive their business performance and efficiency. At the heart of our business are our people and our trainers who take care of our customers’ needs including car painting skills, advanced body shop management solutions, and sophisticated management solutions.
We are seeking a Regional Business Manager who is an experienced leader. You will manage a team of 11 field-based representatives in our largest region. (WA, OR, ID, MT, WY, NV, UT, CO, AZ, NM) and report into the Zone Manager. You will drive the business strategy, develop and grow business as well as provide leadership in people development, process improvements, and system development inside and outside the geographic region to deliver profitable growth while driving your team’s accountability. In addition, you will be the lead management contact for strategic distributors and collision centers to build and manage relationships within the local markets.

Pay transparency
BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $130 - $140. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

As a Regional Business Manager, you create chemistry by...
- Developing an annual strategic business plan for the assigned region, aligned to the overall business strategy.
- Managing the financial budget in your assigned Region to include sales, credits, travel & expense, and customer financing.
- Provide coaching to your team to include leadership, talent management, and career discussions.
- Identifying and executing on new distribution opportunities.
- Meeting with distribution partners in your assigned region to drive growth and meeting with strategic collision centers in your assigned region on an ongoing basis.
- Managing the CRM system to drive accountability and quality of information.
- Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years proven leadership of a large territory and team.
- Experience in managing financials including P&L statements, expense control, forecasting and sales budgeting.
- Experience managing a remote sales team, developing direct reports, and ability to build effective teams and motivating others.
- Ability of thinking outside the box, strong business acumen and customer focus.
- Strong computer skills such as MS Office, CRM, web browsers, etc.
