Regional Sales Manager – Dallas, TX


An electronics manufacturer is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to develop and execute growth strategies to increase market penetration of the company’s products in Dallas, TX. This is an independent contributor role, reporting directly to the Global Director of Sales.


The ideal candidate is dynamic and high energy, with a "hunter" mindset to focus on territory growth and business development, as well as introducing new product lines and options to existing customers. You need independent sales experience in a manufacturing environment and will work closely with distributors and manufacturers' reps on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

  • Aim to exceed assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual regional sales goals.
  • Plan and manage all sales efforts for the Dallas region.
  • Maintain ongoing contact with all major accounts, while also developing new targets within.
  • Monitor all rep firm activity within the Dallas region and provide support and guidance that lead to successful outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales Leadership Team to establish the Annual Regional Budget and other Region-Specific Reports and Forecasts.
  • Manage their own sales performance and visibility through consistent and accurate use of the CRM.
  • Very driven, strategic, and proactive in their approach to building out a new customer base.
  • Regular discussions with Internal Operations Staff to suggest updates and improvements in design, pricing structure, or general policy.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of electronic manufacturing-specific sales and business development experience as an individual contributor.
  • 2+ years of experience working closely with Distributors and Manufacturers' Reps.
  • Must travel 50-70% of the time, mostly local and sometimes nationwide.
  • Current experience securing new accounts and customers, as well as product line expansion with existing customer base.
  • Bachelors degree preferred; open to Associate's degree + proven sales experience.
  • High-energy self-starter with strategic plans in place to expand our reach.
  • Ability to work independently and fill their workday with new client interactions.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and computer/smartphone skills are a must.
