At Kafene, our Sales team is at the forefront of driving growth. Nationwide, our passionate and dedicated sales professionals serve as the face of Kafene to our merchants and customers, building long-term relationships with all of our valuable partners.

We are seeking a Regional Vice President (RVP) of Sales to help drive our continued growth trajectory. Reporting to the Head of Sales, the RVP will be responsible for leading, managing, and coaching an established team of Area Sales Managers (ASMs), as well as recruiting and onboarding new ASMs to accelerate growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of successful leadership in sales-related roles, is highly driven, brings goal-oriented management skills, and has experience managing full-cycle sales teams of 8-10+ field sales representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hire, Develop, and Lead: Recruit, develop, and manage a team of Area Sales Managers (ASMs) focused on driving new merchant acquisition and enhancing existing merchant retention.
  • KPI and Expenditure Management: Monitor individual and team KPIs, as well as expenditures, to ensure the highest ROI from sales activities.
  • Coaching and Performance Management: Lead regular 1-on-1 coaching and feedback sessions, organize and conduct performance reviews, and document outcomes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Market Analysis and Business Development: Evaluate the competitive landscape, identify strategic partnership opportunities within the assigned region, and develop and execute business development plans.
  • CRM Management: Oversee and maintain the sales pipeline through our CRM, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: As a member of the sales leadership team, provide ongoing feedback to the broader Revenue team on activities, production, and goals using internal analytical and reporting tools.
  • Marketing Coordination: Coordinate and track all marketing activities and promotional programs within the coverage region to maximize impact.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in the sales leadership team’s planning and development of business plans, strategies, goals, and budgets to drive overall growth and success.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of outside sales leadership experience in a high-growth B2B role. Experience in consumer products, financial services, lending, or fintech industries is preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in outside sales.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and motivating teams.
  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel 50-70% within the assigned sales region.
