About the Role:


Title : Release Manager


Job Description:

  • Ensure the code management, release process management and continuous integration and continuous deployment.
  • Supporting the ongoing process improvements and the enablement software development and QA teams.
  • Adopting best practices and working with the Engineering leadership to evangelize release management best practices and promote a creative and collaborative work environment.
  • Build the release engineering team and staff it as planned.
  • Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required
  • Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates
  • Work with the Development and QA teams to improve the CI/CD pipeline and its integrations with code repositories, unit tests, integration and functional tests, static code analysis, SAST and DAST, build automation, container packaging, automated deployment of the applications in Dev, SIT, Staging and Production
  • Independently resolve challenges and escalations
  • Take ownership of the release management process, organize each Sprint release with all engineering teams, track bugs and assess risk as well as publish release notes and manage version control.
  • Perform ongoing assessment of team KPIs and manage members of the team.


Must Haves:

  • 5+ hands on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • 5+ years of previous release and/or project management experience, (Solid understanding of project management principles preferred)
  • 5+ years of team and people management of groups no smaller than 5 engineers
  • Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
  • Experience with Git, azure, or Jenkins or any other CI/CD Tools
  • Experience producing deployments, run books and implementation plans
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills are a must


Location : Dallas TX (100% Onsite)


Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $100,000 to $120,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
