POSITION: Release Manager Full-time - 40 hrs/wk.

DUTIES: Responsible for the Release Management lifecycle that involves the stages such as scheduling the release, coordinating between the teams, and deployment of release as per the schedule. Facilitate deployment planning meetings with key stakeholders. Manage timing and coordination of deployments to various environments. Communicate and coordinate during and after deployment. Coordinate and schedule key changes to production activities. Support deployment execution by monitoring each phase. Validate deployment as it progresses through deployment gates and test phases, alert appropriate stakeholders of errors or issues that need to be addressed. Ensure issues and risks are identified, understood, and dealt with in a manner that mitigates risk to scope and schedule. Facilitate emergency (Hotfix) releases from stage & production. Create deployment standards and educate teams on methodology and strategy. Create and maintain the automation of deployment and related artifacts. Identify opportunities to make tactical improvements to the Deployment Process. Create dashboards and metrics to measure process health. Provide application support JIRA and Confluence to IT and the rest of the business. Support JIRA and Confluence users. Evaluation JIRA and Confluence plug-ins, determine licensing needs, testing, installation and configuration of the plug-ins. Utilize design skills to define JIRA workflows and the related screen schemes for projects. Design and support custom JIRA workflows, fields, dashboards and reports. Create JIRA projects, queries and reports and support JIRA plugins.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technology field, or its foreign equivalent. Minimum of 4 years of progressive, postgraduate experience in a Software Engineering Project Release Engineer or closely related role falling within any occupational category. 4 year(s) of experience required in each of the following: Performing build and release within the software development lifecycle, including engineering, testing, integration, stage, and production; Implementing and management of an automated build system; Scrum and Agile; Version Control tools including TFS, Accurev, BitBucket or similar; Continuous Integration systems like CircleCI, Jenkins or similar; Security patching with Patching Prod and Non-Prod environment; SQL server DB deployments; Use of JIRA, ScriptRunner, Jira API, and monitoring software such as Zabbix; Use of scripting languages, including Powershell and Groovy. Telecommuting permitted. Up to 5% travel to HQ's office may be required.

Position Type And Expected Hours Of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
