Key Responsibilities
Working in collaboration with our finance associate, firm principals, and CEO, you will be responsible for
Manage bank accounts, reconciliations, and credit card payments
Manage insurance applications and software renewals
Prepare monthly financial statements and year-end closing documents
Prepare monthly invoicing, including FAR-compliant invoices for federal clients
Manage collections
Set up project budgets for labor, consultants, and expenses
Set up and manage data in Unanet system
Maintain revenue projections
Manage tax reporting documents and coordinate with outside accountant
Collaborate with our accounting firm to prepare quarterly taxes
Work with consultants to manage IRS tax amendments (employee retention tax credits, 179D)
Manage federal regulation compliance
check requests
Process bi-monthly payroll and taxes
Manage monthly expense budget
What You Will Bring
Bachelor's degree in accounting.
CPA or MBA in finance is preferred but not required.
5 years minimum accounting experience in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industry.
Located in the Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland area and able to commute is preferred, but will also consider remote applicants..
Proficiency in Unanet and Deltek Ajera.
Enthusiastic learner who enjoys taking on challenges and offering solutions.
Effective communicator and team player.
